Renaissance Museum Project

Objective: To learn further information about one Renaissance era person and demonstrate an understanding of the goals of the Renaissance.  Additionally, to identify the qualities that makes one a “Renaissance Man”.

Assignment: Enshrine 2 people in the Renaissance Hall of Fame.

Person #1 – The Then Person – must have lived and contributed to the Renaissance.

Person #2 – The Now Person – should either reflect the ideas of the Renaissance/ the ideals of the Renaissance man.

Enshrinement may include:

            An induction speech.

            An application to the Renaissance Hall of Fame.

            Plaque/Bust with placard.

            Video montage

            Museum ready display

            *you may mix and match techniques (1for Then and 1 for New)*

GRADING:

Then Person

1-15 points  Explaining the person role in the Renaissance.

1-10 points  Identifying their accomplishments/present argument on their behalf.

1-10 points Appearance/Writing style – professionalism. Includes list of sources.

1-10 points For Person selection (Any Ninja Turtle/Gutenburg(splinter?) is max of 6).

Now Person

1-15 points  Explaining the person as a “Renaissance” man/woman.

1-10 points  Identifying their accomplishments/present argument on their behalf

1-10 points Appearance/Writing style – professionalism. Includes a list of sources.
